Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique is a government-funded research organization. Two research units will participate: IPGS (Institut de Physique du Globe de Strasbourg) & LIVE (Laboratoire Image, Ville, Environnement). The IPGS research unit comprises ca. 80 researchers with a panel of competences in earth sciences. The team has acquired international experience in seismic & landslide hazard assessments, and geophysics. The LIVE research unit comprises ca. 30 researchers with an expertise in human geography, natural and technological hazards, risk analysis, and geo-informatics.
